From escalators to teleprompters, Trump piles on criticism at the UN

In a wide-ranging speech at the United Nations that lasted just under one hour, US President Donald Trump described climate change as the “greatest con job ever”, reiterated that recognising a Palestinian state would reward Hamas, singled out Europe over migration policies and criticised its failure to “cut off” Russian energy products. He began his speech by complaining that his teleprompter wasn’t working and that an escalator in the building malfunctioned while he and first lady Melania Trump were on it.
