Dimple Shah Joins Humanity Labs as Head of Wealth
After stepping down from her position as head of strategy and client experience at Osaic last month, Dimple Shah has landed at Humanity Labs, a managed service that provides a digital AI workforce to wealth management firms. Shah has joined as managing director of wealth at Humanity Labs, which is backed by former LPL executive Mark Casady’s Vestigo Ventures and Google Ventures.
Wealth Management was the first to report on Shah’s departure from Osaic. She said she decided to leave the independent broker/dealer because of the opportunity at Humanity Labs.
“Being a wealth management executive, I was on the receiving end of dozens and dozens of AI tool pitches, always wondering what is really going to be the thing that transforms wealth management businesses?” she said. “And that’s what I saw in Humanity Labs.”
Humanity Labs is not a technology tool, said Andrei Pop, its founder and CEO. It’s a managed service, with an AI workforce that sits on top of the advisor’s existing ecosystem of tools and infrastructure. It can help with back-, middle- and front-office workflows, such as client onboarding, compliance review, client reporting, meeting preparation, billing and other functions. It stops short of the advisor/client interactions.
“The AI workforce comes out of the box with a lot of knowledge about how to do account opening and client onboarding and compliance reviews and operational work and client service and all the kind of nuts and bolts work of running an RIA,” Pop said. “You then as an individual in one of these firms that partners with us have this AI workforce that you can now delegate to, and you don’t have to change anything about your current technology or your current data or your current infrastructure.”
In her new role, Shah will be introducing Humanity Labs’ capabilities to new partners and educating wealth management firms on how to use them.
Shah joined Osaic in 2022 as executive vice president of corporate strategy, with more than two decades of experience in designing corporate strategies. Prior to joining Osaic, Shah was a managing principal at Cielo Advisor, an independent strategy consulting firm. Prior to that, she was head of corporate strategy for LPL.
