Carson CCO Departs to Take President Role at CreativeOne


James Clements, who has served as chief compliance officer for Carson Group since July 2020, has left the firm to join CreativeOne Securities, an independent broker/dealer in Overland Park, Kan. Jeff Eisenbauer was serving as president, CEO and CCO of CreativeOne.

CreativeOne was launched in 1984 as a life brokerage, Creative Marketing, and went on to create new annuities for national insurance companies. The firm now operates an independent marketing organization, broker/dealer and registered investment advisor. The RIA has about $6 billion in total assets. 

“What I have already learned about CreativeOne Securities is that representatives are never just another number in the system,” Clements wrote in a LinkedIn post. “They are a true partner. Our platform is built for real independence, the kind that lets you serve your clients your way, without pressure to push proprietary or pre-packaged products.”

Carson, the $57 billion RIA based in Omaha, Neb., has hired Kristin Streff, the former director of employment services at First National Bank of Omaha, as its new CCO. She joins on April 28.
