Awkward tensions test US, Mexico and Canada ahead of Fifa World Cup

The leaders of the three 2026 Fifa World Cup host nations are expected to meet in Washington DC on Friday for the tournament draw. It will be the first time all three gather together, and the first in-person meeting between US President Donald Trump and Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum.

The BBC’s Anthony Zurcher, Jessica Murphy and Will Grant explain how the three countries are getting along in the midst of recent tensions ahead of the draw.
