David W. Karr is the Chairman of Equitable Advisors, the wealth management business of Equitable, and is a member of the Equitable Operating Committee. As head of Equitable Advisors, Mr. Karr drives its growth strategy and oversees all facets of the business including sales, marketing, operations, technology and service. Prior to his current role, Mr. Karr served as Managing Director and Co-President of Karr Barth Associates, Inc., one of Equitable Advisors’ largest offices. He started his career as a financial advisor and has deep expertise in wealth management and practice development. 

Mr. Karr holds the ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant) and CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter) professional designations. He also graduated from Lehigh University with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting.
