Kestra Financial Hires From LPL, Commonwealth For Business Development

Kestra Financial, the Austin-based independent broker/dealer, has added four business development leaders to its national recruiting team to focus on advisor engagement and regional support.

Ben Marks and Austin Shives, who had previously worked at LPL Financial, and Dave Sawan and Doug Wallace, who had been at Commonwealth Financial Network, have all joined Kestra as business development consultants. Shives had most recently been with Good Life Companies.

The four new business development team members bring experience in advisor recruitment and transition strategy, which Kestra believes will lead to “more focused, high-quality conversations with advisors whose goals, values, and growth ambitions align with those of Kestra Financial and Kestra Private Wealth Services,” according to the firm’s announcement.

Benjamin F. Edwards Hires Tim Boostrom from Stifel to Head Recruiting

Benjamin F. Edwards, a wealth manager with $52 billion in assets under management operating in 34 states, has hired Tim Boostrom as head of branch development to lead advisor recruiting and branch expansion across its employee and independent channels.

Boostrom is leaving a leading business development role at independent broker/dealer Stifel to take the role. Before that, he held leadership positions at Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network and Wells Fargo Advisors for almost 14 years. 

In his new role, he will focus on intentional growth and values-aligned recruiting strategies.

“Recruiting is one of the most critical drivers of our long-term strategy,” Benjamin F. “Tad” Edwards, chairman, president and CEO, said in a statement.

T. Rowe Price Names Bill Cashel as Head of Alternatives

T. Rowe Price, the Baltimore-based global asset manager overseeing $1.8 trillion in assets, has hired Bill Cashel as head of alternatives for U.S. wealth to lead engagement and distribution efforts.

Cashel previously led distribution at AQR Capital Management and co-founded Privacore Capital. 

In the new role, he will collaborate with sales teams and senior leaders on alternative investment capabilities, including those of Oak Hill Advisors, through partnerships like Goldman Sachs Asset Management.

T. Rowe Price said it plans to expand its alternatives distribution team further in the coming months.

Moneta Hires Growth Leads

Moneta Group Investment Advisors, the St. Louis-based RIA with $42.7 billion in assets, has hired Kristin Messey as vice president of marketing and Carolyn Dalle-Molle as organic growth lead to support advisor growth.

Messey makes the move after more than 20 years at Edward Jones, and Carolyn Dalle-Molle joins from marketing consultancy Ficomm Partners.

The duo brings expertise in marketing strategy and advisor coaching and is being tasked with bolstering Moneta’s infrastructure and client outcomes.

“As the industry becomes more competitive, firms that want to attract and develop excellent advisors have to invest in the infrastructure, resources, and leadership that enable advisors to grow their businesses while continuing to deliver exceptional client outcomes,” Eric Kittner, CEO of Moneta, said in a statement. “Kristin and Carolyn each bring exactly the kind of expertise that will strengthen our ability to support our advisors and the clients they serve.”

Beacon Trust Adds Four Wealth Management Professionals

Beacon Trust, an Iselin, N.J.-based subsidiary of Provident Bank managing $4 billion in assets, has hired four professionals to expand its wealth advisory services for high-net-worth clients.

The advisors joining are Jason Apuzzio and Louis Russo, both formerly of Truist Investment Services; Samantha Booth, who had been with Bank of America’s Merrill Lynch; and Marc Oceanak, most recently with Cetera. The four advisors bring expertise in investment management, fiduciary solutions and business development.

“Each of them brings deep experience advising high-net-worth clients and developing trusted relationships,” Annamaria Vitelli, EVP and chief growth officer at Beacon Trust, said in a statement.
