RightCapital Launches AI Agent Iris for Advisors

RightCapital has introduced Iris, an AI planning agent designed to streamline how financial advisors create and manage client financial plans. The launch is meant to offer advisors an intelligent tool that can help interpret client data and provide immediate actionable insights without disrupting their existing workflows.

According to RightCapital, Iris represents the first AI agent capable of directly analyzing client information within financial planning software and is intended to assist advisors by reviewing profile data, identifying plan inconsistencies and executing retirement simulations in real-time.

The RightCapital AI agent features three core capabilities that address common advisor pain points. Its Double Check function scans client profiles for missing information or data inconsistencies that could affect plan accuracy. The Cash Flow Reviews feature highlights critical planning considerations, including anomalies, assumption risks and potential gaps that might create future financial concerns. Meanwhile, the Plan Builder tool allows advisors to set probability targets and receive three customized strategies based on adjustable variables like retirement age or living expenses.

Compliance considerations shaped Iris’s development from the outset, according to the company. All outputs originate from RightCapital’s proprietary calculation engine, ensuring advisors receive insights exclusively from the platform’s verified solutions rather than external sources. Firms maintain control over team access at the organizational level.

The launch builds on RightCapital’s AI momentum following its Smart Import feature introduction earlier in 2026. That tool reduced manual data entry time by at least 70%, according to the company, by automatically extracting relevant information from uploaded documents.

To be sure, RightCapital isn’t the only firm leveraging agentic AI to help advisors be more efficient. Financial planning competitor Conquest Planning, which has been AI-powered since its founding in 2018 by Mark Evans (creator of Naviplan), recently introduced several agentic features including strategic advice manager or SAM Guide in March, though its underlying architecture differs from RightCapital.

Iris is immediately available to all financial planners and assistants using RightCapital’s Premium and Platinum subscription tiers at no additional charge.

Other significant features rolled out by RightCapital over the last three years include an integration with AI notetaker Jump, introduction of a migration tool targeting eMoney Advisor users and and the launch of an integrated risk tolerance tool.
