United Planners Chooses SurgeONE.ai Compliance
While SurgeONE.ai CEO Sid Yenamandra has said in the past that more than 200 advisory firms and several independent broker/dealers are clients of the combined cybersecurity, compliance and data operations company, only a handful of companies have been willing to put their usage on the record.
This week, Yenamandra announced that United Planners Financial Services, a national IBD that serves hundreds of financial advisors, has selected the SurgeONE.ai platform to consolidate and manage its cyber, data and compliance operations, and, in the process, replace multiple legacy tools.
SurgeONE.ai brings together four main capabilities: RegVerse, which is an artificial intelligence-powered regulatory co-pilot that supports compliance-related workflow automation; Kovair for enterprise data migration and integration; Security Snapshot for cybersecurity monitoring; and MGL Consulting for support of other related regulatory services and technology support.
The platform includes AI-assisted policies and procedures tested against real exam findings, AI governance built for FINRA and SEC examination priorities, cybersecurity risk management and vendor oversight, and services including ADV filings and fractional chief compliance officer support.
The platform provides advisors with real-time visibility into compliance standing and provides faster review turnaround over manual oversight or legacy technology.
“In our evaluation of vendors in this space, we didn’t find anything built the way SurgeONE.ai is built—by people who have actually sat across the table from regulators,” said Dave Hauer, chief compliance officer at United Planners, in a statement.
SurgeONE.ai grew out of Surge Ventures, a venture studio launched in December of 2022 by Yenamandra, a serial entrepreneur who had previously founded the cybersecurity endpoint security platform Entreda (acquired by Smarsh in 2020).
