VRGL Expands Advisory Platform With Growth Tools

VRGL, the advisory technology platform perhaps best known for its automated statement extraction and investment proposal generation, has announced the expansion of its toolset to include features that support organic growth for wealth management firms.

“Every wealth management firm operates differently, but most technology forces them into the same workflow,” VRGL CEO Kyle Zasky said. “We’ve re-architected VRGL so firms can start using the platform immediately and then expand it over time as their needs evolve.”

The expanded platform now has three layers: VRGL Core serves as the acquisition engine with automated statement extraction and portfolio analytics; Advanced Capabilities is designed to enable workflow customization to match advisory firm operating models; and Optional Modules provides for ongoing client engagement and retention.

VRGL Core continues to enable advisors to scan raw client statements, extract data and use it to generate white-labeled proposals supported by tax optimization and model libraries, helping them articulate their value proposition to prospects. Core also serves as the starting point for most firms, providing a place to begin using the platform immediately, while Advanced Capabilities and Optional Modules allow firms to deepen and expand the platform at their own pace, according to Zasky.

This approach allows firms to build VRGL to fit their unique processes rather than forcing them into a one-size-fits-all system, he said.

“Customizable capabilities like custom investments, tables, and charts allow firms to tailor analysis and client deliverables to their own standards—which becomes increasingly important as portfolios grow more complex and advisors allocate more to alternatives,” said Zasky.

Part of the intent is that as those capabilities expand, firms can reduce their reliance on multiple point solutions that often don’t communicate well with one another, according to Zasky.

“The result is a platform that connects the workflows behind client conversations while giving firms the flexibility to configure VRGL around how they actually operate,” he said.

For those unaware, VRGL’s namesake is the Roman poet Virgil, who guides Dante through uncertainty in The Divine Comedy.

Advisors can learn more about the new tools on VRGL’s redesigned website.
